I'm guessing a point won't help us much since the Lancs loss.

However, I don't mind that, tbh. For me the point of this comp was to try and build a bit of confidence amongst the players which I think they've done. It has been a creditable campaign whether they make the qualilimifiers or not. Lots of things to build on for the CC and for the T20 cup later in the year.

compare that to last year where a shocking one day cup campaign just compounded a poor CC start and we ended up with a dismal CC campaign

Maybe things will be different this year?

If Warwickshire beat Lancashire tomorrow, then Durham's qualificiation is in their hands. Also if Yorkshire beat Worcestershire by a fair margin.

Yep. Will be tough at Headingley but to be in this position highlights the dramatic improvement on last years disastrous campaign.

Agree. Massive learning curve for Scott Steel, Carse, Potts and Travaskis plus Lees performance hint at his true potential.

In that case there can't be any excuse for not winning! According to Emmerson a win for Derby over Worcestershire will give us a home QF ( assuming we also win of course) I guess the Yorkshire players will be very motivated to make the most of their chance and at the same time not under any pressure - dangerous combination!
