He was fit a couple of weeks ago. Fit and ready to go. Unfortunate that the 2 matches that England made him available for, ahead of this series, were both rained off

I have to say I'm getting a bit ssiped of at the TV commentators obsequious love-in with Jofra Archer (TV cameras spent more time looking at him than on the play), but if it allows Woody to play a lot more for Durham then I'm happy for them to carry on trying to out-do each other in their sycophantic musings. Even better if they can get Stokes sent back to us as well. He seems to be playing purely as a fielder atm, so there might be a newly qualified all rounder with half an hours international experience under his belt who could force Stokes out of the side if the oleaginous Mark Nicholas puts a bit of spade work in
