I see the cricinfo report on the Australia warmup game suggests that, had it been a county game, the pitch would have probably have been reported by the umpires.
That makes Bancroft's almost lone hand innings even more impressive.
Plan B seems certain to be required and it better be a good one!

According to the club website a replacement is "likely" to be announced "imminently"
Imagine if plan B is to recall Poynter to the 4 day side as captain! Seriously though they have said all along contingency plans were in place. Could be Short although I don't think he's played a lot of FC cricket. Although we'd still need another overseas for T20.

Looks as if he might. Carse back on.
I'm not sure Trevaskis bowling 4 economical overs and getting wickets is a good sign - or Short only conceding 11 in 2 overs.
