part of me thinks that Gregory will be ditched for the ashes squad and sent back to Somerset with a point to prove

Oh I'm almost certain that he won't play a part in the Ashes. They've named too many seamers in the squad as it is, and that's without Archer and Stokes (and Wood, if he is fit later in the summer).

But just between tomorrow and the day after the Ireland test match finishes, Somerset play 4 times. That's more than 25% of their group games.
