Cant really fault the Indian lads, if someone had done that to me I'd have belted someone. There is quite clearly players going out their way at the end to stir up a problem, several BD players run straight at Indian players clearly on purpose. Of course in this situation if you act like that, you get a response. And it wasnt just at the end, the BD players spent the whole game seemingly acting like that. Put a bad mark on the whole of the tournament, and to a man the team should have been punished for bringing the game into disrepute.
The ICC priorities must be questioned. Ravi Bishnoi got pinned for a send off to a batsman that, having re-watched it, barely merits a second glance; but under the rules he was charged with language or actions that were likely to merit a reaction from the batter. In the first over the game, a BD bowler narrowly misses what was clearly a throw back at the batsman (te throw is head high and just misses).... are you telling me that isnt an action that might lead to problems? How on god's green earth can you charge one and not the other? As I said, if I was umpire he'd be hauled off the field and his game ended. We cant accept that at any level.
But what are the ICC saying? Are they saying an action that endangers a batsmans life (a full bloodied baseball throw into the head has serious consequences) will not be punished, but tell someone to go away in harsher terms and they will be banned?
Nonsense. Leaves a very bad taste in the mouth to see this from the youth coming through. Im left in no doubt which side made these issues.
