I am not sure if England themselves know who is coaching the side at the moment. Thorpe was batting coach, but then when Hick left Australia's batting coach slot he was supposed to be working with the side at some point last year. They then gave Trott the job vs Pakistan, everyone assumed Thorpe must have gone, but then he returned as the Head Coach for the T20 series.

Thorpe then got categorized as the number 2 coach, only for that job to be given to Colly. The ECB then brought in Jacques Kallis as a batting coach for the SL series, while they made all the coaching jobs available and all the above applied.

Then today you see Thorpe, Colly and Trott on the balcony together..... so I have no idea who is doing what. It seems everyone who was gunning for the same job got given it, and they just decided to have 9 coaches doing the same thing

Nick Knight told us 15 times at least how great that was today. Apparently its great to have loads of ex-players telling you what to do..... Id have thought it would be pretty confusing and counter productive to change the coach for every series myself

Win the toss, bat first. Score a big first innings total like 500-600 and take a lead. The use two spinners on the fourth day and fifth day spin friendly wicket.

India needs to restrict England till 450 to fight back. If you field for more than one and half day in Chennai conditions then it becomes incredibly difficult to bat longer during batting innings.

Highest averaging England player in Asia to have scored 1000 runs (61.8). Next is Gower. Eighth highest in Asia away from home including everyone. Sobers is top, then SRT. Of course, that'll be changed if he gets out.
