Rohit gets a Jonny Bairstow delivery. A touch unlucky for him, but it did look out straight away. Good bowling from Stokesy.

I must admit I thought it was a great ball but I didn't think it was out as it looked like it might be outside the line and may have been going over the top. The fact it was impires call on both shows just how lucky Eng were. There were quite a few complaints from Eng fans about the Bairstow lbw but that was plumb by comparison. Shubman was unlucky too so I suspect the Indian team will be fuming.

I guess the rules are the rules. I do think umpires call on two accounts is harsh to a batter, but then the margin of error on both regards is put in the batsman favour. So really two umpires calls shouldnt make a difference too much

Lots of chat on commentary and in the studio about whether Stokes is a better all-rounder than Ashwin. In asian conditions conditions I'd say Jadeja and Shakib are better all-rounders than both of them.

Been a lot of commentator talk today about Dom Bess suddenly looking tentative. Karthik just said then that he looked pretty good 1st test, and all of a sudden he isnt letting it go well and just slipping in bad balls.

Who would have thought averaging 21 in SL, returning better figures than all the Indian in the first test, then being dumped out the squad for two raging bunsens because your captain and coach come out to say your rubbish, would destroy a young lads confidence.
