so silly, in fact, that I've suddenly become very frightened

jeez..... surely not?

:lmao
Poynter or Coughlin would be suitably disastrous choices - their records suggest neither should be anywhere near the T20 side.

Just remembered that Bedingham is a T20 keeper so that should...allow us to play Poynter as a specialist batsman :lmao

The question of T20 captain was raised at the forum and, specifically,Badger was asked if he was also white ball captain. He said he didn't know and Franklin said they hadn't thought about it. Nor did Bostock clarify that Bangers was only contracted for red ball cricket. He was arriving early May,the obvious assumption was that he was here for the rest of the season, there being no statement to the contary. He added that he'd hoped to announce the locum for April, implying it was imminent with only red tape preventing it been signed off. So they're either sitting on something already signed or the deal's collapsed.

Bedingham. I'd forgotten about that! So if he does the job again we can go for a specialist batsman or bowler.

I have heard of him but only because when I saw his name on a scorecard I was reminded of his singing namesake.
2 tests and 2 ODI's with a top score of 43 but a FC average of 42.

Jones has made a decent start in the friendlies

I see Young is 28. For some reason I assumed he was just a youngster. I confess I've not heard of him

I also confess that I have yet to see any evidence of the effectiveness (or value for money) of signing a top order bat for a short stint in April. It's something we've done before. Cook was a failure, Markham was a failure. I've said this so many times I'm sick of hearing myself say it, but why wouldn't you sign a big snarling fast bowler for a 3 or 4 game stint at the very start of the season? It seems so obvious to me that I wonder whether the club are completely stupid... or I am

I agree. Chances of a batsman succeeding in 3 early season games are slim whether it's Young or Steve Smith.
