England wont make it past 100 if Jadeja gets the ball to turn out the footmarks like Moeen just did. That has just exploded like a hand grenade.

Batting last on a pitch already spitting.... England are totally screwed

Not sure if the speed clock is drunk, but Curran just registered a ball over 90mph. While its obvious he is now bowling much quicker, is he really up that far?

Probably explains a lot - Curran at one end, Wood at the other a few overs ago felt like a sort of peak failure of English bowling ideology - Wood ramming in half-trackers that do nothing but "enforce", Curran bowling without much thought other than to be as quick as possible now he's not swinging it.

Wood finally does something after 80 runs conceded.

Wood has plenty to prove still in this format. He had three great Tests in 2019-20 v WI and SA. Before that he averaged 41.7 and since then he averages 46.3.

Given his usefulness in limited overs cricket, it's uncertain whether he's worth the risk in Tests. I bet he's considered a key pick for the Ashes though.

Five for Anderson. Amazing late career he's having. Must have the best aged 30+ Test stats ever. McGrath maybe.

Wood ends it as Jadeja goes big and fails.

364 seems decent. Watch England be 50-5 at tea

100 runs conceded for the last 8 wickets. Putting India in paid off for Joe in the end...

Front foot is planted as he sets himself and does not move. He cemented to the crease, and ends up jamming his bat down the line rather than moving to it. No excuses, thats amateur batting technique. Its a full half volley and its almost like he wants to play it off the back foot. Ball should end at the boundary, but hes got nowhere near it.

Sibley also needs batting round the head, because he may as well have gift wrapped his wicket and sung happy birthday to the bowler. On the pads, and for a second game in a row he just fluffs it to short midwicket lamely.

You can say what you want about the game, but if a batter cant block a half volley on of stump at international level, then what can anyone do
