I've just noticed that Carse went from 2-5 off 2 overs to 2-27 off 3

8 required off 4 overs. Carse is the one to bowl out...... I half expected Drissell to be thrown the ball

I can start calling Borthwick Mr 0-96 now. Why are we bowling him? He's bowled 9 overs across 3 matches and he's gone for 107 runs. An economy rate of very nearly 12 runs per over. Maybe he's in for his runs and his ability to up the run rate at vital moments, although 31 runs in 3 matches at a SR of 103 suggests to me that that may not be working. I wonder what is working? It's a mystery Still.... I'm sure Franklin knows what he's doing... it's not as if he's been found wanting before

so.... 36-4 to a stroll with more than 3 overs unused

I'm beginning to wonder if there's any point going to the game next week

in T20 terms, there are at least 4 players in today's match who are, frankly, not fit for purpose

Pretty hopeless! I've been out - was the sub fielder on for Drissell? He didn't bowl - didn't bat either.
If Eckersley was going to keep wicket and he has an injury preventing him doing so then surely it must be impacting his batting too.
I have some sympathy with Dickson and Turner out injured and we wouldn't have gone into the season expecting to lose Lees and Potts but we've seen for a number of years that the innings regularly fades away after a rapid start and the death bowling can be iffy.

only the lord knows what the hell was happening with Drissell and he/she/they aint saying, but to pick up an injury sitting in the dressing room after the team was announced seems unfortunate to say the least. A less kind person might be tempted to suggest that the whole set up borders on the hapless and this is just another of its manifestations

It's probably better this way. Last year we started well and expectations had begun to rise before being emphatically dashed. At least this way no-one will go to any game with any level of expectation.... well apart from disaster being about to strike, that is. What that does to attendances remains to be seen. If I didn't have a season ticket, I think I'd find other more rewarding forms of entertainment to fill an evening..... like waiting for the kettle to boil, waiting for paint to dry, waiting for my nails to grow or going to bed early because there's nowt on the telly worth watching

0-96 and counting and he ain't ever going to be dropped which gives you a guide as to high our lead high performance director sets the bar for high performance.
Incidentally,since that historical accusation of Franklin bullying surfaced has Franklin ever given a face to face interview?

Just when Robinson seemed set to go big he's out- D'Oliveira causing problems. 114/3 with 7 overs left. This is where it could go wrong! Hopefully the middle order will prove me wrong but with this lineup I think we need one of the top 3 to bat deep into the innings.

Here's a thought... if he doesn't bat and we're better off if he doesn't bowl.............. what's the point of having him in the side?

it can't be for his fielding because in the CC he's probably shelled more slip catches than he's caught
