I see the winker is trying to claim other people's goals now, too

The idea of England knocking out Belgium, and me driving around screaming at passersby in my car they lost.... totally alien concept. Of course, there are historic reasons for discontents, but at times they feel artificial and needlessly entrenched. I have lived here for 5 years, and there will always be a little Belgian in my heart..... I like to see them do well. Or I think I can now say "us" to do well....

Yeah it all rather puzzled me too : Even if people feel they have grievances against the "system" in the land to which they have come , you'd think a victory by their own native team would be a cause for celebration and rejoicing rather than an excuse for random destruction. A time to feel happy and at least temporarily forget about their problems ?

But apparently some just don't think like that. A pity : it all rather undermines the idea of a mutual love of sport bringing people together - but then I guess that is usually a bit of a fantasy anyway...

I've seen it in the pandemic in domestic football. Had a season ticket for 3 years, never a single issue in the ground. 1.5 years later, the threat of violence at matches looms. Been problems in 5 games at my count in that time, one got called off due to hooligans from Beerschot.

Violence and football certainly is trending upwards

Why is Henderson panicking when he has the ball in the last third?

dull

dull

dull

Sir G will be loving this. He'll take 0-0 all day long. Finish top of the group.... in no form whatsoever, but he won't care. He'll be happy to take Senegal to 0-0 and penalties too.

Rashford particularly poor tonight, I think. No invention, no creativity in the side. They keep getting in each other's way..... Maguire has just passed to Kane and then ran straight in front of his line of shot. Commo said that Henderson was like a second captain and keeps shouting at the team.... Perhaps he should spend less time shouting and more time timing his jump.... lovely ball to him in the box, acres of space, and the ball bounces over his head :facepalm hopeless!

England supporters will never be happy

But England is doing well.

Rashford has been immense second half. Involved in all 3 goals.....obviously scoring 2. :salute

Kanes selfishness is huge for england.

And although England don't have a mbappé they have depth. Maybe that will be crucial.

As for Wales, Ramsey, Allen and Bale, this has to be their last games.
