disappointing from Hardik though. Doesn't seem to have his batting head on and doesn't seem to be taking wickets either. I had hopes for him this year now that he's settled into the captaincy, but his early form seems underwhelming

True. he hasn't played to the potential he has yet in these two matches. His bowling is never dependable but then he will pick couple of wickets or a 3 fer. His caught behind today was not to an outstanding delivery, but it was in the channel outside off at 145 kph and ended up getting an edge. Yes, as a player he has to rise up to expectations being a international player more suited for white ball cricket. Other team mates are performing well and GT is winning under him so his failures are not getting highlighted yet. Having said that his performance is due and feel he will come good soon.

last year Jos and Samson opened, so if Jos needed a minute or two (he's already padded up and waiting to come in) why not promote Sanju?
