Carse could be out for 8 weeks according to Martin Emmerson.

Harmy won't be happy, he's been pushing for Carse to play a role in the ashes, although I reckon there would have to be a lot of injuries for that to happen. No chance of an ashes call up now

I'd be more worried if Ben Raine was to be out for 8 weeks tbh. I think we are more likely to cope without Carse, particularly if Potts is available. If we need extra pace that's presumably why we brought in Glover, although he didn't look obviously quick against the Uni

Campbell pre-match interview mentioned Carse missing but not Potts. Although he also said conditions sometimes are spin friendly at Bristol so we might play 2 spinners. He's expecting Coughlin to be fit.
Apparently we've never won a CC game at that ground.

Potts is in the squad but if we play two spinners it'll be Drissell- Trevaskis not in the squad and that surprises me, I'm fairly sure he'd score at least as many runs as Clark.

Think that's a very good score, I only saw patches of play but it did not look like a great pitch. Spinners well in the game on day one so I think we're - famous last words - quite a bit above par - and still an outside chance of 450.

Having said that, Martin Emmerson reckons it was a good pitch so I might be wrong. Not for the first time!
Either way we must be the happier side after day 1.
