could have used those extra overs this morning, but there you go...... draws in all games means our lead has increased. 36 points clear

I hope we didn't put Handscomb down at any stage

Slightly annoying not to get over the line from when they were 8 down but I'm happy enough with the draw and bonus points.

Jason Gillespie talking about the Bairstow v Foakes debate...he said Ollie Robinson should be challenging- apparently was very keen on signing him for Sussex.

If Robbo converted himself to an opening wicketkeeper batsman, England would have him in like a shot..... so best not to suggest it..... Shhh!

Yes! Think he's the leading run scorer in the division.

despite the very great promise of the first two matches, it ended up being only marginally better than the disaster of the year before.

Yes, the two Leicestershire recruits should help but this year has been poor again- although I think we were a bit better than the results suggest - competed in most games despite glaring defincies. I hardly dared watch the power play bowling.

Off for bad light and if they don't get back on it'll be another tie!
Durham-esque death bowling from Worcestershire with 28 off the last over, Finch removed for two beamers and Pennington getting smashed to all parts!

Predictable end to the T20 campaign! Not that it matters. We bowled them out and I still expected to lose...and of course we did.

Potts released from the England squad so presumably they want him to play our next 4 day game. Very handy if that's the case- Carse must he just about ready to bowl too.
Apparently we were on the verge of announcing Todd Murphy, but obviously the Lyon injury has scuppered the deal.
He seems destined not to play for us!

I'm sure I heard that Carse is likely to be ready to bowl again. England will almost certainly play Wood at Headingley, so it'll be good for us to get Matty P back

this is a key 3 weeks for us. Do well and promotion could be in the bag by the end of July.

Yes, you'd think a couple more wins should just about do it.
There's always a concern that the wheels could come off but in the 4 day game we've dominated even with depleted resources. We probably could/should have won every game.

Yes,North was quoted in his preview of the LeicsCC fixture that we were in final negotiations for an unnamed overseas pkayer but If it was intended to be Murphy why has he signed Matt Parkinson on loan until at least the end of July.Murphy would still be available after end of July regardless of Lyon's injury.

Good question! I don't know- maybe the newspaper story was wrong or the dewl with Murphy was in doubt for some reason :aww
