England's determination to take on the short ball is becoming infuriating, and the ending very predictable.

Duckett's wicket will haunt my nightmares for eternity. A ball rising up to near shoulder height, miles wide of the stumps, and he tries to back foot drive it into the offside infront of square by opening his stance slightly. I mean, what was the objective there? Even in the unlikely event he somehow middled the ball and got a good contact on it, you are hitting into 3 defensive fielders.

Can blame drop catches, but its the manufactured strokes with low percentage yields that are killing us.
