Odd that, just as everyone is clambering over each other to leave Worcs, for the second year running, they've suddenly put themselves in with a very good chance of promotion..... and with 4 wins, they probably deserve it

Does seem strange. Wonder if there are financial issues.

Borthwick, Bedingham and Pretorius in the squad for tomorrow's game. Clark continuing as keeper!

Borthwick left out. We're bowling first. On paper Worcestershire look much stronger- mustn't have lost too many to The 100!

Hat-trick from Trevaskis limited the damage to some degree but those runs will take some chasing.
Heading down for the second innings but - aside from the out of the blue magic - the bowling lived down to my expectations! Erratic and pretty toothless with the new ball, no real wicket taking threat from the spinners in the middle overs ( hat-trick is both a great individual achievement but also a fluke given how rare they are) and then very poor death bowling.

I hadn't spotted the hat trick. 318 seems large

It was tossing it down outside Chez Footman a few minutes ago

It has looked like raining since I've been here but hasn't yet. Good start with the bat - hundred up. Maybe I was overly pessimistic about our chances of getting these runs.

And about a minute after posting that Bedingham is out! 108/2.

They're losing their way here - first Bedingham out to a poor shot and now Clark- survived a dropped catch but out stumped- he was so far out of the crease that the keeper seemed to drop the ball but had time to have another go.
Daft batting because we were ahead on DL so no need to take risks. Worcestershire just milked the bowling in the middle overs, that's what we should be doing.

Well I've taken 4 wickets since I've been here! Should have stayed away. :lmao
We've gone from just in front of DL to way behind.
And as I type the 5th wicket goes down! :horse

It's getting darker overhead, if it does rain the kamikaze batting will look even worse now that we're adrift of the DL score.
D'Oliveira and Waite have combined figures of 2 for 12 in 5 overs!

Yep. Done and dusted and just now an injury scare for Coughlin! Thought he'd hurt his shoulder diving in but he seems to be OK. Just hit a 6 so hopefully nothing to worry about.

50 for Bushnell. He's had a good day. Annoying thing is we could well have chased these runs down were it not for the soft dismissals of Bedingham and Clark.
