don't worry, we'll collapse in a heap in the next couple of games in front of the faithful.

It'll be especially bad on Sunday, which is the day that I'm planning to go

we have no bowling attack to speak of, because they're all away not playing franchise cricket, so if we don't score 400 and plenty, we won't have a hope

Wayne Madsen releases by Manchester Originals to play in tomorrow's game but Ben Raine isn't in our squad - Originals aren't playing again until Sunday.
Seems as if the franchise teams have to agree to release players so can only think the Originals don't want to risk a bowling squad member getting injured...or he somehow is injured despite not playing a game!

I agree with your assessment of our chances- with the attack we have a huge score is likely to be required ...and the top 3 will have to get most of those runs.

Durham have more of a chance now, because I can't go on Sunday after all. I knew I couldn't go on Friday, because I have a house full of small people cluttering up the place for the sole purpose of giving teachers nearly an eighth of the year off (chancers...... anyone would think they were chiropodists), but I assumed, erroneously as it turned out, that Sunday would be free because it was a weekend when teachers wouldn't be working anyway and so other arrangements would naturally be in place. Turns out that not only do I have pick up 2 small people on Sunday morning, but I then have to take their parents to the train station, take the small people to a party and then feed them, stop them falling into the river or off a cliff, give them a bed and make sure they clean their teeth..... it's an outrage

Coughlin not playing today, presumably injured again, so the bowling looks even more flinsy than expected. And Derbyshire must be at - or close to - full strength! Has all the makings of a disaster unless we get another mammoth score.

Well, excellent start from the openers then the dreaded collapse! Great job from Jones and Trevaskis to get 330 on the board but , given our attack, I think we're 50 or so runs short. But 334 is still quite a lot of runs to score so there has to be a chance unless the bowling is hopeless...

Bowling attack is just so flimsy. Can't apply any prolonged pressure. They still need 193 and are actually just behind on DL but must be overwhelming favourites unless they self destruct.
