Actually doing pretty well so far , 140/2 from 25 on a pitch that doesn't look all that easy to bat on. Want to turn this into a proper score (surely Jos is due to get runs today ? He usually loves batting against Pakistan) . Stokes the second player to be reprieved by Afridi dropping a c&b today...will hope to make them pay.

well, they've all been given 2 and 3 year central contracts, so all bar Stokes and Willey ought to be there for 2 or 3 years or the ECB will have once again stuffed everything up. Not like them to stuff things up

Australia strolling home against BD, so a 7th place finish for England looks very likely. Not the result anyone will have expected ahead of the tournament, but at least it's a current disaster and not a future one as well. Unlike a long wait to the next WC, a 2 year gap to the next 50 over global tournament doesn't give the ECB enough time to over-react and try to turn the county championship into a white ball only domestic season
