After yesterday's IPL auction it's time to set up our own.

A reminder of how we operate the set up process.

You may only retain one 2023 player if you are an existing player; the other must be re-drafted.

Kindly specify in the thread below which people you want to release and which ones you want to keep.

You can, of course, choose to release both players. It is possible to both release and reselect a player in your draft, but you will need to pray that no one else snatches them before you can.

Please let me know whether you intend to play in 2024 if you didn't play last year.

Before 12 p.m. on December 27, you must send me a private message with your shortlist of six players, ordered by preference.

I will choose names at random from all interested parties on the 27th, and based on your lists, I will choose your delegates for the upcoming year.

This year we returned to two cricketers per contributor but we may have to move back up to three as we did in 2022 depending on interest.

You can make as many changes to your list as you wish until the 27th at noon, and you can select any player in the world as long as they haven't already been retained.

Every kind of cricket they play, no matter how obscure or far flung, will earn them points.

As I did last year, I will give my list of six candidates to the Independent Adjudicator - DFM.

Points are unchanged:

Batting
1 point for every run scored
A batsman scoring 50 will receive a 20pt bonus, with another 10pts for every further 50 runs scored
(ie. 50 = 20pts, 100 = 30pts, 150 = 40pts, 200+= 50pts)
A batsman scoring at least 20 runs, will receive.....
10 bonus pts for scoring at a strike rate of 80-99
20 bonus pts for scoring at a strike rate of 100-149
30 bonus pts for scoring at a strike rate of 150-199
40 bonus pts for scoring at a strike rate of 200+

Bowling
20pts per wicket
20 bonus pts for a 3fer
30 bonus pts for a 5fer
A bowler who has bowled at least 3 overs will receive.....
10 bonus pts for an economy rate of <=6.0
20 bonus pts for an economy rate of <=5.0
30 bonus pts for an economy rate of <=4.0
(ie. an ER of 4.25 scores 20pts)

Fielding
10 points per catch or stumping
20 points per run out, or 10 points each, if two players share the responsibility
10 bonus points for 3 contributions with catches, stumpings or run outs.
