Brings back a few memories. Seems Dave Bassett and Bobby Gould are still with us.

When I was watching Forest, it felt like Wimbledon were the anti-Forest. The positive and the negative poles.

I'm trying to remember how many profanities he spouted in a 3 minute rant at the press. I'm thinking 47, but maybe I'm way out

OJ Simpson 76 cancer

a huge sports star, a double murderer and an armed robber. The police chase down the motorway was an astonishing TV moment

and then he got away with it..... even all these years later..... WOW... just WOW

Star of Naked Gun...

He was in The Klansman with Richard Burton. Admittedly this wasn't the peak of Dickie's career.

The sad thing about OJ Simpson is, he played in an era of American football that modern medical research is proving to have been extremely deadly. Studies are proving that 90% of NFL players in his era had some form of brain damage, and CTE is present in a depressing amount of cases. OJ, as his era's most successful running back, a position that gets the ball the most and is therefore hit the most, was probably the player in his day that took the most hits. And better running backs usually require a lot more brute force to bring down.

OJ said he thought he had CTE. Doctors observing his behaviour agreed. The pattern of his crimes and decisions are classic CTE. Its not possible to know, but the authority on CTE in America said he'd bet his medical licence on the fact OJ had extreme CTE.

As a player, he was known as a mild mannered, funny, genial person...... the physical abuse he suffered turned him into an evil, cold blooded criminal.

Ah, Deadly... Probably the best English SLA in my lifetime. Not a great fielder or batter, so Duncan Fletcher might not have picked him.

Most famous for his 7-50 on the last day at the Oval in 1968 on a wet pitch to draw the series.

Cricketers made little money in his age. I never judge a man for playing cricket somewhere just because he got loads of money.

I was too young to see him play, but his record speaks for itself
