I've just had a look at it. Hard to tell from the highlights, but yes, he clearly didn't think he'd got anything on it. Visible anger rather than disappointment when he realised the finger had gone up. Quite a sequence of emotions... first disbelief, then anger and then a reproachful glance back at the umpire

Glad that you saw it too. The commentators didn't think anything unusual was going on. Robinson and Bedingham were batting beautifully.

Will Stokes be playing in the next game against Somerset on Friday and will Potts be fit?

it'll be up to Stokes and how he feels, but it was always intended that he would play. He's the England captain, so he can walk in and out of the side any time he likes

Durham also have an away trip to Chelmsford and a home fixture against Worcs at the back end of June, which would finish a full week before the first test, so he could perhaps play both of those too. I'd be disappointed if he didn't play against Essex at least.

I don't know if he plans to play any T20's for us, but other than continuing to work on match fitness and match sharpness, there doesn't seem to be much point in that.... besides we often lose when he does play for us, although we've been mostly losing for 21 years, so it won't make that much difference to our campaign

There was an interview with Rob Key and he was asked if Stokes would play T20 for Durham and he basically said he didn't know!

I have a feeling that this match is going to be badly weather affected. We had rain like this in the days before the season opener, the ground was already saturated and the outfield had nowhere to drain to with the result that every day was a wash out. Yesterday saw a month's rainfall in 12 hours in the areas around Teeside, so it doesn't auger well, really

Looks like the right decision today. It must have been tempting to bat first after struggling to take wickets in the last couple of matches.

Commentators mentioning out ex-player Pretorius has a century and 11 half centuries to his name. I don't like the sound of that!

They also said he made little impression during his brief spell here. That explains why I had forgotten he had played for us
