Durham Match Thread 2024

Definitely back to the usual T20 form now. We always seem to string together a few good results but it never instills confidence that we've cracked the format.

another 20 runs from us might have made things interesting, but too many players got out in a big cluster which undermined our chances

quite a few counties have 3 matches in 4 days. The schedule is a nonsense

yorky game is abandoned so they have the point they need to overtake us if we lose today. Everybody keeps getting the NR point they need to push us further down the order

Yes, a familiar tale of woe. And again a poor advert for T20 cricket- unless something dramatic happens I'm the second innings!
Batting lineup doesn't have sufficient strength and depth and the bowling is - Sowter excepted - not strong enough either.

Just as I was saying the batting lacks depth. 160 gives the bowlers something to work with but I'm not confident. I'm also not there so don't know if that's a decent target or not.

75/6 and then Raine goes for 17 in the next over. Need to get Montgomery out.

96/9 so the run rate should get a significant boost barring a total disaster.

a welcome scoreline. We've made mincemeat of them. Good response to the pretty abject showing last night.

As you say it was a very good response to the debacle last night. Seems as if that defeat has ended Notts hopes in the competition.
