The way it is heading, we will end with a handful of faceless corporations from India owning pretty much every single Franchise in world cricket amongst a very small pool of ultra-wealthy people, at which point they will have an established monopoly that will be unchallenged. And the game will just become an extension of their business interests.... it will be hosted on their media companies and you will pay the price they set to watch, you will get only adverts for their products, and what not.
There are already a few IPL franchise that now own multiple teams across the world. Get ready for the 2035 T20 World Series competition, where the Mumbai Indians play the English Southern Coast Indians, both teams having progressed beating the Western Australian Indians and Indians of Pretoria respectively in their semi finals.
