late swing?

good score from Sussex, but we played at Edgbaston early in the season last year and I think they actually shifted the match to the M6. Batting records were broken all over the place, but the match ended up as snore draw. I think Warks racked up 700-3 or something. That might have been a kookaburra game too. An advert for a high quality contest between bat and ball it was not.

Been unlucky not to get either opener out. The new ball has done something, but the softer old ball looked pretty flat.... Need quick wickets to make a game with this.

Robbo has ripped 3-4 past the outside edge.

N'hants v Kent game has three innings completed by tea on day two. So definitely not a road.

Sussex will like that - Carson on, and he gets one to rag back into Sheikh.... out bowled. Beauty from Carson, ripped off the pitch a long way...

Going to be key for this match. If there is turn there, Sussex might have a chance of winning that game

Robbo makes the key breakthrough.... follow on still 150 off.... another 1 or 2 this session, and Sussex might be able to force a game here.

Pitch with the old ball is pretty dead though

Tom Alsop drops Mouseley on 0... regulation catch, cant get easier than that at slip. With the nightwatcher still in and that being 5 down, that was the chance of opening up the game. Rubbish cricket. Bamber than skies one, caught, Danny Lamb then falls over the boundary rope and has to drop it... :facepalm

Been one of those days or so for us. Edges dropping short or just out of reach....

Robinson has bowled well this morning without due reward, bowls a rank full toss on the pads, and all he can do is chip it to the fielder.....

Its a funny old game sometimes isnt it. Bowl 24 ball that are perfect and get nothing, bowl the worst ball of the season and does the job

371 for Banton.

First win of the season goes to Kent.

Can't see Yorkshire getting back in the game v Hants. But at least not rolling over.

Carson drops Mousley now. Maybe his naturally inherent luck is the reason he is on England's radar.

This was a tough chance though, he hit it hard back at the bowler and Carson got a hand to it but couldn't keep hold

I guess this sort of thing really doesn't matter to some people, but Ed Barnard just got hit in front of middle stump and was given not out, then literally the next ball got a carbon copy delivery that hit in the same place, and was given out finally after a few close calls. Umpire's make mistakes, I appreciate that.....

However, when the umpire in this case used to be the new ball bowling partner of the batsman in question at Worcestershire not that long ago, comes from the same town, played together with him at the same local club, and both played for the same minor county, with the older of the two once describing the other as a protege of sorts.... I do feel the some questions need to be raised.

How the hell can Jack Shantry be considered a neutral decision maker in this regards? Its like me getting my older brother to stand at the other end.

Ex-players really should not be umpiring their ex-colleagues.

Looking at Warks RR seems they are trying to make a game of it. But it's a nailed on draw.

Disappointing return to the top for Yorks. Time to call up Brook and Root from the second XI.

Sussex making no attempt to win this, very disappointing.

350 ahead with 52 overs left... come on man, get bowling
