I watched a bit yesterday and saw 2 balls grub through to the keeper with one ball in between leap up off a length, nearly take the batsman's head off with Roderick taking the ball above his head..... off a length ball

As I understand it there's sideways movement too, so hard yakka for the poor sods with the bat. Even yesterday after tea, the commo's were suggesting that Durham should just try and hit boundaries rather than try to survive, because it would take no time at all to get a ball with your name on it..... this was tea on day 1! Even the heavy roller only calmed the pitch down for about 3 overs
