Yes, excellent win and no alarms this time. I did wonder if they'd make hard work of it after losing early wickets but cruised home in the end.

Doggett has finished his spell with us. 3 matches! I thought he was here for the first half of the season. Connors has recovered from injury.

hard to know which way they'll go. I suspect Connors and Minto will miss out, but who else? Carse will play. Bedders is back and I imagine Old George will play, so either Clark will miss out with Carse at 7, or (the sensible option) one of Gay or Rhodes will miss out to make space for Bedingham and Clark will keep his place

I think that because if Carse breaks down, Rhodes can bowl a bit more. We really missed a spinner v Warks and Yorks. Clark stays because how can you drop the guy who's just scored 150?

We're bowling first which- given the weather - surprised me but hopefully it will prove to be the right decision.

Well it is a decision, it whether it’s the right one remains to be seen.

Pitch looks quite green, which might be the reason, but it isn’t misbehaving at all, so I imagine Hameed can’t believe his luck.

No chances, no half chances, everything is gun barrel straight and Hameed has picked off boundaries in 4 different parts of the ground

Jeez….:: this is about as easy as batting gets and we chose to bowl first. I think it’s fair to say that we fuckeditup. Maybe we thought there was something in it for our bowlers, but equally we might simply have been worried the there something in it for Abbas. Either way the decision looks Borthwick-esque.

Hameed has looked destined for a hundred since he was on about 20. Slater was all over the place early on, it we’ve played him in. We are going for 5 an over and Notts look as though they may pick up max batting points today

Bunny has been patrolling the boundary, presumably to try and work what on earth is going on, so we must have realised that we’ve dropped a massive bollok

Well, that was a shocking mornings play. 3 overs short too thanks to the continual traipsing to the boundary to retrieve the ball

Hameed looking a little vulnerable since the break. He’s got a bit becalmed and making a few mistakes. He chopped two consecutive Carse balls onto his back leg rather than his stumps, then the next ball he faced from the other end he edged but it didn’t carry. Feels like he’s fighting it atm

Hameed is scoring quickly again, but it’s surprising how many hav come off genuine edges. Minto has been very unlucky because he’s induced these edges and his figures look terrible for doing so
