and there it is... Newcastle lose and still can't beat Pickford, but secure 5th place thanks to a Villa red card, a Villa goal controversially ruled out and that rarest of beasts... a goal for Man Utd

Villa fans and players will be stotting about the result today, but when they lift that Europa league trophy in 12 months time, they might not mind so much

Lots of work for Newcastle to do this summer. Seemingly they've been given the green light to spend 150M and I suspect they won't move many players on, because I doubt they can afford to. The squad has plenty of quality, but is paper thin for CL football
