And Jennings/Lancashire have returned to form as soon as Benks departed!
I'm assuming those big shots at the end were to try and get it done as quickly as possible and the result was never in doubt - but if we'd been 8 down and still needing 5 runs it could have gone horribly wrong.

Grace Thompson in the wickets early against Lancs. 2 in 2 balls. Lancs are 19-3 after 4 overs, with Thompson 2 for 5 after 2 overs

Trudy Johnson is getting some really nice movement. Took a wicket with the first ball of the over, then conceded a boundary of an edge that evaded the keeper, then she cut Ecclestone in half with an inswinger that also nipped back off the pitch. Somehow contrived to miss everything

what a good catch that was by Mady Villiers. Top edge from Ecclestone, hung up there in the wind, but Villiers had a long way to run to get there and took it on the full dive. 81-5 after 14

well, we rather let Lancs get too many in the last few overs. 140 in the end. I figured we could have restricted them to 120

We started off well, with 50 up in the PP, but we have done what we do best, which is lose wickets in clusters. Having already lost 2 wickets clean bowled to spin, we then nearly had a run out in the same over

only a bit of a reprieve though as Villers falls clean bowled in the next over

suddenly we are 67-3 and from cruise control we are under a lot of pressure and we all know how well we respond to that

yesterday 8 batters failed to get past 5

today 6 batters failed to get past 3. We couldn't even bat out our overs chasing 141

oh lordy!

we had that game by the scruff of the neck after 14 overs of their innings. 120 looked the best they could do in an optimistic world, but they scored 60 runs off the last 6 overs and that's where our biggest problem is. We have at best 2 or 3 batters who look capable of scoring 20. We shouldn't have lost that game, but we lose wickets in clusters and once Bates is out we're stuffed

At 6 down we needed 24 off the last 3 overs. Instead we ended up losing 4 wickets for 5 runs in 9 balls

we'll win *modded* all playing like that
