Actually, Wood was nicely subdued.

Carse easily the best of the bowlers. A bit wayward, but created chances and quite quick.

Bad day for Tongue.

Obviously the highlights didn't show Wood's ten minute monologue on electric drill related sexual innuendos. He mostly just cracked terrible jokes, talked about how important "processes" are, and continually mentioned how great Ben Stokes was.

Never has anyone before managed to make me want to listen to Andrew Strauss on comms....

He said at the end of the day on TMS, one Indian batter needs to score 850 runs in the series for them to stand a chance. :facepalm

Indeed Michael....can't hope to win a test series without someone doing something only the best batter ever, at his absolute zenith, managed.

They left all that out! He just talked about the game.

Stokes seems to still have something to offer as a bowler, if he can actually get on the pitch. Bowling high 80s too. I wonder if England have got the most out of him. Cook seemed to view him as an afterthought and someone to give the opening bowlers a rest, bowling to defensive fields.

200 partnership. Surprisingly the weather might be a factor though. Supposed to be thunderstorms later.

I remember the classic Indian batting lineup of the noughties putting on a huge score at Headingley in the sunshine. Didn't Dravid make a double ton?

Yes, 2002. India 628-8. But no, SRT, Dravid and Ganguly all made hundreds. Dravid made a double at the Oval.

Couple of wickets. Nair gets the second four ball zero of the innings.

Sarfaraz should be there instead of Nair and Sudharsan.

The scoreboard might make you remember it being a road, but the magnificent thing about that innings was it was a classic seamers green top with dark skies overhead. The ball swung all over the place early on, but Dravid played one of the greatest innings in challenging conditions you'd ever care to see, and Tendulkar and Ganguly mopped up what was left over ..... could make a case it was a signature innings for all three of them.

Should have been stumped, but Jamie Smith missed the ball.
