the middle order saves Aus yet again.

At least the top-order two most under the pump made it to double figures. An improvement.

bad light saved the Windies from having to face a tricky end-of-day spell from Starc and Hazelwood.

Good luck for them, bad luck for Aus.

I am going to give Konstas the benefit of the doubt and say rather than being utterly terrible technical player, he seems to be really struggling with his confidence and self-belief. He doesn't seem to be certain at all about how his footwork should be working - on some balls he is moving all over the shop, head bouncing around, frantic feet - and he seems acutely aware of this because he then over-compensates for it by trying to plant his feet in concrete and ends up reaching for the ball and not getting on top off it and striding into his drives.

In modern day cricket, either approach will work. If you want to move your feet around then do it, just make sure that head is still at the end. And if you want to play without moving your feet too much, then watch a video of Shubman Gill this week and see a masterclass in playing that way- absolutely critical to get your wide of off stump shot selection and reading of the length perfect.

His cockiness and arrogance needs urgently backing up with runs...no doubt there's a talent there but looks as if he is confused about how to go about playing....however the whole Aussie top order has struggled not just him...so time will tell
