Hang on, has Tongue done another Pant? Hit Jadeja's foot, he's in pain. Surely not another foot crusher?

EDIT - Bit of magic spray and hes putting his boot on again.

Pressups? I think if 6 catches and 2 run outs went down, they'd have been hung drawn and quartered.

Pope basically all in now. Atkinson is back on after a very short rest, but the new ball is only 12 overs away. I cant fault Pope, he probably knows another 35-45 runs before the new ball without a wicket might render it academic anyway. He's playing his hand now, but with Tongue halfway through a spell, and Atkinson on again, who is going to take the new ball with Overton? Surely he cant ask much more of Atkinson and Tongue.

That 66 by Deep is looking really impactful now. Plus the drop last night.

I think I remember Merv Hughes bowling all day when Australia went into an Ashes Test with him the only pace bowler (plus Steve Waugh).

Jadeja has not got out in any of the second innings in this series according to comms. If he survives again, I wonder if that has ever happened in a 3-4-5 test series where a top 6-7 batter has batted in every innings

Going to jinx him, but I like the look of Jurel. Looks a much better technical player than Sai and Nair. Compact stance, stands tall and keeps his head still, good footwork into the ball, doesn't try to hit the ball too hard and gets his runs with good timings..... I'd be playing him next series over the other two.

India pass 300 as they come to tea..... India might not be bothered if England bowl them out with a few overs to spare this evening, in 2 hours they should have more than enough

Most overs in an innings by a pace bowler is Fazal Mahmood with 85 v WI in 1958. 2-247.

Inthe colour tv era, it's Lille with 47 v Pakistan in '76. 5-163.

In this century, Merv Dillon bowled 51 overs twice in his Test career, and Flintoff once v SL at Lord's.

Must have imagine Hughes. But i also think I remember Flintoff saying he would bowl all day until the Aussies were out at the Oval in 05. But it only took 34. 5-78.

If someone in this game bowled 85 overs in an innings the Test would last a week.

Though maybe the Indian bowlers will enjoy hitting a few tail end runs. Mental disintegration.

Two very poor overs that. Firstly you put the ball where Sundar wants it, he smashes one into row Z, but the criminally not being turned on to the bye on the last ball...

And then Tongue serves up a total filth over. Two massive wides, two sixes, then he finally gets one ball at 11 and he puts it a metre wide of leg stump
