Aus v England semifinal about to begin. Both have 100% records.

Good start for Aus (I didn't see that), and a very good recovery by England (I have seen this). Rew is looking very good.

A certainty for a century.

Of course I was correct...

A very fine century it was, too. I have seen most of it, and I think it has been chanceless.

Maybe not even the best bat in his family...

Pretty good team total at U19 level.

15 off 22 balls at the end from Morgan doesn't look good.

Quite a knock from Rew. 277 a bit less than I expected before he was run out.

Aussies not exactly charging at present , just shy of 100 in the 23rd , but building a platform with only two out. Still in the balance I guess.

I thought 277 was a very healthy score for a SF. It looked even better with Australia 6 down and still needing 89 off 11 overs. They got a lot closer than I thought they might. 22 runs from one over can really change the momentum, but England held firm. Credit to Peake for pushing that as close as he did

This U19 side have matched the achievements of 4 years ago, but England haven't won this since 1998, seemingly

Yes, it was a good total for such a much.

I saw nothing of the Australian innings, but it sounds like England had an all round quality game.

I am sue that Rew and Peake will see more of each other, at a higher level, in years t come.

Got a lot closer than I expected at the death... Up until Peake started cramping and decided to just heave everything out of the park instead of running - leading to that astonishing 22 run over off the previously immaculate Lumsden - it looked like England had it in the bag ; but that over meant the remaining four overs were set up to be tense. Morgan and Minto did the job though with a minimum of fuss.

On to the final , presumably against India.

I really wanted to watch this, but the time of it was too much for me.

I will have to be content with five minute of highlights - but, 6's, 4's and wickets don't tell the whole story.
