Brook said they were too careful against the spinners, and I only saw little bits of the game so he may be right, but I worry that in his eyes being less 'careful' means dancing down the pitch first ball to try and slog a spinner on a hat trick. I just don't trust them to find a sensible balance between timidity and stupidity.

Probably never really in much doubt once Banton got going ; but they made heavier weather than necessary of it for a while. Will need to improve...

both Salt and Brook talked about being less cautious and more positive.... they scored 2 and 4

it's exactly what I feared. they either tee off or get bogged down with nothing in between..... a bit like their ears
