When Bedders hit the turbo charger button, he got a reprieve almost immediately when he picked out the boundary fielder going for a six off Harrison, only for the umpire to signal no ball. We won that with 16 balls to spare.

Well that was quite special, I didn't go because the tension was too much.
Watched it back on YouTube and seems a remarkably sensible approach- some strokes of luck but the openers got through the new ball and Bedingham and Ackermann ( sub decision ended up working) soaked up the pressure when it looked like going horribly wrong. Then they got the timing of the acceleration just right at the end.
These dropped catches are a mystery, it's not that we have poor fielders. Often it seems the hsrd catches are taken.

when I was there on Sat, I noticed how many leg side balls Northants sent down. Not Sanderson particularly, apart from the odd one, but Guthrie and Sales sent at least one down every over, and for Conway it was a couple. Their keeper was very athletic and stopped most of them going for byes, but he was so good at it, it was almost as if it was something he was ready for. It made me wonder whether this is a tactic that they have devised to either slow down the scoring, or to set a trap for unwary batters to try and get them to tickle the ball away off their hips, without allowing for the keeper diving like Superman to attempt to catch it.

Women are going well against Surrey. Bowled them out for 179 and currently 149-4 with loads of time to get the 31 runs

Villiers and Levick did all the damage with the ball. Armitage and Graham currently on a 60 run partnership

Good to see that Villiers and Graham aren't injured, after they both missed the FA cup T20 County cup

I need to switch on a bit, because I had no idea we were playing today. I haven't been to a Tier 1 game all season and I went to a few last year. I think I've only seen the second half of a T20 game all season
