Unfortunately the game was a damp squib however always enjoy going to the oval always a fantastic atmosphere and the better side won they look ominous

Well done England. They have been excellent all tournament. Really gone up a gear under Charlotte Edwards.

Australia are obviously going to be very tough to beat, but it should be a cracking final.

Fantastic performance and victory hard to see past an Aussie victory but been much better from England in this tournament

Enjoyed that game. Had a bit of a fright to wake up a few overs in and see 23/3 : but once NSB (well timed return from injury !) and Knight got settled it was clear they were going to set a decent target. Quiet last couple of overs after both got out together probably cost 15-20 runs but 170 always looked defendable unless someone went nuts for SA.

That said , their openers started rather well until Ecclestone brought off that excellent catch at mid on. She hasn't always been noted for agility in the field but that - and her later one running backwards - were terrific ; and surely a tribute to Charlotte's emphasis on improving the fielding. Which seemed to apply all round.

Pretty convincing win. After a pretty convincing set of group stage results. Australia represents another level of opponent : but you'd think they have a decent chance if they continue to execute their skills in this manner - and don't get rattled by the occasion.

Looking forward to a final worth watching whichever way it goes.

Today they changed it around and opened with Dean

This is why I think it's a mental thing. Because it's against Australia, they do something different. Why?

Do they not trust the process? Do they suddenly not trust the players? Were they trying to be unpredictable and hoping to catch Australia out, or just trying to be clever?

Come on England.... trust the process. Stop playing silly beggars. At the moment all Aus have to do is turn up to throw the England mindset out of the window

They didn't get enough runs...30 short I would say and then Lauren bell had probably her worst spell in international cricket today which is a shame...fielding was okay but I'm sorry how was ecclestones catch not given? Wouldn't have made a difference but yeah that was a shocker! Congratulations to Australia thoroughly deserved they're a class above everyone else and they are just far too good for anyone else to compete with
