Good player and got Newcastle playing some attractive football as manager. But didn't really fancy it as the England supremo.

Didn't he release a pop single? I'm thinking Head Over Heels...

I seen a journalist from Newcastle sum up Keegan's time at Newcastle in the 1980s as the only light in the darkest period of the regions history. All the championships, medals and awards mean nothing when you leave a legacy like that, however brief.

I never seen him play, but my uncle raymond who had a season ticket for Newcastle till he died at 93 said it was Milburn and Keegan. Those two stood out all time. And then as manager, he came so close.
