Nothing remotely dodgy about this at all. Surrey offer Crocombe a huge deal to leave Sussex, and almost instantly after the ECB headed by Surrey's ex-CEO give him a multiple year deal and foot all of his wage. I am sure they really didn't know.... really sure.

At this point we should just make a rule that Surrey can have any player they want.

I guess nothing says Rob Key quite like giving a bowler with 100 test wickets at 18 a one year deal, and a bowler who averages almost double that in CC in a similar number of scalps a 2 year deal.

Crocombe has spent most of his career being below average. I never got the hype at all, he's done better last year but he averages 34!! And he is now over 25....

Amazing how England are going full circle. He bowls 3mph more than average, so despite him having a pants record, he is getting a multiple year CC ??
