Well done United, we have got to get those occasional away draws if we are going to avoid relegation. The Waugh Twins wrote:75 mill for Di Maria.![]()

The Waugh Twins wrote:Di Maria had a good world cup and payed well for Real Madrid in the last few matches of the season I wached, but also had some shocking matches as well in the Champions league in particular. I've only seen him play about half a dozen times, but would say half of those were good and half were average.
His stats are not that great either,2005–2007
played/ goals
Rosario Central 35/ (6)
2007–2010 Benfica 76/ (7)
2010– Real Madrid 124/ (22)
A supposed attacking midfielder whose stats are not even as good as Frank Lampards and I'm sure if Lampard were being bought for 75 mill we would be falling off our chairs.
I think United have been bamboozled by the Spanish league.

Fricking Moyes. Did that and gave Nani a 5 year deal.

Attacking midfielders aren't just in the team for goals. Look at Ozil, Mata, James, Kroos. They're in the team more for assists. Di Maria got the most assists in Europe last season - 17 in 34 games. Was also man of the match in the Champions League final and quite a few journalists claimed he was Madrid's best (or most influential) player last season.
Dr Robert wrote:Stats and midfielders are not compatible. Look at scholes's stats in his last few seasons, and you'd think he was crap. The only player stat I like is centre forward - goals scored. Even then, the whole story isn't told.
