I felt that Ponting always cracked under the pressure a little, either becoming cautious when Australia were put on the back foot, or becoming angry and confrontational. A good example was at Nagpur in 2008, when he hardly bowled his seam attack despite them looking decent, and stuck to part timers rotating.

Although gracious off the field, my image of him is of someone continually questioning the umpires.

Well looks like the draw is potentially the most likely outcome now, specially if some play is lost tomorrow due to rain.

I'd also cite Trent Bridge in 2005. Brett Lee and Shane Warne were clearly the bowlers to win him that game, but he insisted on bowling four overs of Shaun Tait, off which England scored something like 30 of the 129 to win and, given the tight finish, this probably cost them the Ashes as they'd have been 2-1 up with 1 to play.
