he had to work very hard at the start of his innings by the looks of things. In the morning session at least, Leics seem to have bowled well and put the batters under a lot of early pressure. Yet again, an opening bat demonstrates how patience and hard graft eventually paves the way for better batting later..... an approach that seems to have been a bit undervalued in recent years.
when I saw 17-2 after the first 30 mins, I feared the worst, so this is much better than I dared hope for
